Teapot Still life

This is one of the very few paintings I have that I did while young and studying. It's also one of the few that I actually like. A standard lesson involved several still life compositions and we got to pick which one we would paint. The pallet and time was set. Sometimes, as in this case, we were allowed to use our entire colour pallet. Sometimes we were only given one or two colours to use. This particular time we got all colours but as I remember it we only got 1 hour to complete the painting. That’s why this one looks a little rushed and unfinished. Nevertheless I still like it.

Oil on canvas board by Michael Dyer.

This one is quite small.
