My wife and I were walking along the Stanley Park seawall a few years ago and as we passed Siwash Rock we noticed that there were tens of thousands of Starfish (Sea Stars) covering the rocks at the waterline. I have never seen anything like it before and may never see it again because there has been a huge die-off of Sea Stars on the pacific coast. Some estimates say that over 90% of Sea Stars on the pacific coast are gone.
This is based on several images.
